Me at the University of Essex's Multiplayer Gaming Society
Lan weekend, 2003

This section was put together with my own learning in mind. Not all of it is particularly advanced, especially the How does the internet work section. However, we all have to start somewhere and sometimes the techie types can forget that we all need a helping hand when learning, whether it be at an advanced level or at the beginning. As my skills develop, I will add more sections to this site. Through the development of this site, my HTML has greatly improved. I now mostly use notepad to write HTML and am trying to learn XML and WML. With the arrival of this current site design marks me learning a lot more of the advanced techniques with Cascading Style Sheets and doing a little bit of Flash.

I completed a masters degree in Information Systems in 2007. There might be some useful notes in the masters degree section under University. I decided not to duplicate in this section here as there is no point! As part of my MSc, I studied web technologies and e-commerce and from my web technologies lectures, I put together a basic HTML tutorial that is worth having a look if you are learning web authoring basics.
