Recipients of EdExcel BTEC higher national awards wear a black gown with open sleeves and a scarlet hood lined with blue.

University of Essex - BA (hons) Politics with Human Rights

Bachelors wear a black gown, similar to the Oxford BA, a hood of simple shape, black outside and fully lined with the University red taffeta, and a black mortar-board.

Canterbury Christ Church University - MSc Information Systems

The Master’s hood is similar to an Oxford Doctor's, with well-rounded cape, and cowl of purple lined with cardinal red. The mortar-board is the same as the Bachelor's but the gown is of traditional Masters shape, having long glove or bag-ended appendage behind the elbow.
